I will dominate 'credible combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to promote next month's bout.

Ex twice world heavyweight champion Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather targeted ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Size Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really happening.
